 Pefkochori, or Kapsochora, is a large village located in Kassandra, at the first leg of Chalkidiki. It is 105 km away from Thessaloniki and you will find it in the southeastern part of the peninsula of Kassandra, at a distance of 19 km from Kallithea, after passing the villages of Kriopigi, Polychrono and Hanioti.
Pefkochori has 1600 permanent residents but in the summer it serves tens of thousands of tourists. This is probably the most cosmopolitan place in Kassandra during the summer months. In Pefkochori you will find organized hotel facilities, luxury villas and rooms to let.
 During the summer months in Pefkochori, there are Clubs and Bars where you can have fun until the early morning hours to the rhythms of Greek and foreign-Serbian music, luxury fish taverns and restaurants where you will taste the magic of Greek and Mediterranean gastronomy, and organized Beach of the village shore.
 Pefkochori is pedestrianized during the summer. The streets under the main road that crosses the village up to the beach become pedestrian streets, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy their walk on the coastal road and in the alleys of the village full of shops. Also in Pefkochori, you will find ATM cash machines, post office, Internet Café, large Super Market, private clinics and dental clinics as well as small public health unit, car rental offices, amusement park.
Apart from the beautiful sandy beach inside the village, Pefkochori is close to excellent beaches that are an attraction for visitors to Chalkidiki. Some of them are the exotic Glarokavos with its blue lagoon, which is 5 minutes away from the centre of the village, the well-known to the young tourists beaches Chrouso and beach Xenia in Paliouri with the Beach Bars Navagos and Koursaros at a distance of 10 minutes from Pefkochori. The Euphoria Club Villas are only 1km away from the beach bar Umbrellas, which is considered the most cosmopolitan beach bar in Halkidiki! The famous beach Glarokavos is 900m from the settlement, waiting to give you the exotic experience with its blue lagoon and crystal clear waters. Explore the dreamy beaches & beach bars

Start your tour from Nea Potidea, where you can visit the Potidea Canal and the ruins of the Castle. Then you will meet Nea Fokea where the Church and the Tower of the Apostle Paul are located, as well as the Wildlife Refuge.
Nearby is Afitos, where you can see the Archaeological Site of Afitio, the Ancient Quarries, the Springs of Vrysitsa and Moudounou, the Folklore Museum and some very picturesque churches. South of Afitos was the village of Kallithea, with the Sanctuary of Ammon Zeus and the Church of the Assumption. Also noteworthy are the windmill, the Folklore Museum and the Metropolitan Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Kassandria, which is located a short distance from Kallithea.
In Polychrono you have the opportunity to take a walk on the small lake where the habitat of the turtle Testudinata is, while in Pefkochori we suggest a visit to the natural attraction "Glarokavos" and the Monastery of Agios Ioannis.
On the west coast of Kassandra you will find Agia Paraskevi, where you can take a relaxing bath in its thermal springs. Kalandra is known for the Archaeological Site of Mendi and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its magnificent frescoes. Then visit the Sanctuary of Poseidon and the lighthouse in Poseidon. In Sani, you can visit the Byzantine Tower of Stavronikitas.

Many interesting cultural festivals are held in Kassandra during the summer. The Afitou Festival includes a series of events, such as theatrical performances, painting exhibitions, concerts and shadow theater performances.
The Cassandra Festival, which takes place in Siviri at the village amphitheater, features performances by artists from around the world.
On August 15, the day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, celebrations take place in many churches of Kassandra, such as Afitos, Kalandra, Kryopigi, Paliouri and others. Many villages celebrate the day of their namesakes' feast day. Some of the most important holidays are of the Apostles Peter and Paul on June 29 and 30 in Nea Fokea, Agia Marina on July 17 in Fourka, Agia Paraskevi on July 26 in the homonymous village and Agios Panteleimon on July 27 in Kallithea.
In addition to swimming on the beaches of Kassandra, you can also take part in water sports, as most beaches have the appropriate facilities. The wooded areas of the peninsula are ideal for hiking, while the picturesque villages are ideal for carefree afternoon walks. It is also worth exploring the habitats in Nea Fokea and Polychrono.
